Many sellers want to know they will get a good Return on Investment (ROI) for any remodeling done on their home. Considering our mountain climate, I always suggest replacing windows and other energy efficient upgrades.  I do not recommend replacing or adding carpet. Today's buyers want wood or tile floors.
