Highland Woods

Highland Woods is a small and exclusive Lake Tahoe community featuring an attractive mountain setting that includes stunning mountain views unobstructed by power lines and a scenic open meadow. Highland Woods is nearby Stateline casinos, shopping and other entertainment, as well as the world-class ski resort, Heavenly Valley. There are not a lot of homes that come up for sale in the Highland Woods area, so the sales can often be quick, especially if the homes are priced well. As you travel along Lake Tahoe Blvd from the ‘Y’ toward Al Tahoe, Highland Woods is hidden along the left side of Lake Tahoe Blvd. You will turn left into a neighborhood of manicured lawns and charming homes within walking distance of a gorgeous meadow. The neighborhood is in high demand, and most homes that become available in this private, yet conveniently located community don’t stay on the open market for long.

There are approximately 210 homes in this neighborhood with the average being a three bedroom, two bath homes with approximately 1,500 square feet of living space. The neighborhood is a blend of full and part time residents and has a few vacation rentals throughout. Most of the homes are on 5,000 square foot lots although those along the perimeter may feature meadow and some lake views. This neighborhood is one of few single family neighborhoods that have an HOA that takes care of snow removal and garbage. Closer to the Lake Tahoe Blvd section of Highland Woods, one can find some multi-family units including duplexes and small apartments.
